Eurowings reports strong operational performance in 2025

Share

Eurowings closed 2025 with solid operational and financial results, carrying 23.7 million passengers on around 170,000 flights and achieving a reliability rate of over 99%, underscoring strong operational stability.

High demand and customer satisfaction

According to the airline, 72% of flights arrived on time, while passenger numbers increased by more than 900,000 compared with 2024. The carrier operated services to 150 destinations across Europe, with strong demand particularly for leisure routes.

Customer satisfaction also improved, with about two-thirds of passengers recommending Eurowings, reflecting growing confidence in the brand’s positioning as a European “value airline.” The airline’s strategy was further recognised when Skytrax named Eurowings the “Best Low-Cost Airline in Europe 2025.”

Expansion into tour operating

The airline also expanded its business model with the launch of Eurowings Holidays, its own tour operator. Within its first year, the platform has grown to offer travel packages to 60 countries and around 16,000 hotels, focusing on flexible booking conditions such as low deposits and low-cost cancellations.

Major fleet modernisation ahead

Looking ahead, Eurowings is preparing for the largest fleet renewal in its history. Parent company Lufthansa Group has allocated 40 new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, scheduled for delivery between 2027 and 2032, which will support future growth and improved efficiency.

Financial performance

Including its stake in SunExpress, Eurowings reported an adjusted EBIT of €132 million in 2025, while its workforce increased to around 5,500 employees.
