Eurowings opens new base in Pristina (Kosovo)

• Airline deploys an Airbus A319 in Kosovo’s capital as of 19 June
• New connections also from Basel and Geneva to Pristina
• Frequencies increased to Düsseldorf, Munich and Stuttgart
• CEO Thorsten Dirks: “Continuing to expand our European network“

Eurowings is further expanding its European network: With the opening of a new base in Pristina, the airline is expanding its services in Eastern Europe and will be stationing an Airbus A319 in the capital of Kosovo from 19 June. Thus, Pristina will become the thirteenth Eurowings location. For the first time, Eurowings will offer direct connections from Pristina to Switzerland. At the same time, the existing connections to the cities of Düsseldorf, Munich and Stuttgart will be significantly increased. In total, the airline offers over 60 weekly frequencies to and from Pristina.

Eurowings CEO Thorsten Dirks: “With more than 40 million passengers carried last year, Eurowings has clearly become the strong number three among point-to-point airlines in Europe. We are consolidating this status by expanding our network in the direction of Eastern Europe. Pristina will play an important role in this context.”
