Due to the bankruptcy of the airline Germania, Eurowings is offering Germania passengers who are currently stranded abroad a discount rate on return flights to Germany with Eurowings in the period from 05 to 28.02.2019.

That’s how it works:

Book
Book a replacement flight for your failed return flight to Germany on eurowings.com or via Eurowings mobile services.

Submit documents
Please submit the following documents to the e-mail address [email protected] until 28.02.2019:

  • Booking confirmation of your cancelled Germania flight from a foreign departure airport to a destination airport in Germany.
  • Please note that the cancelled Germania flight should have taken place in the period from 02 to 17.02.2019.
  • Booking confirmation of your Eurowings flight booked from 02.02.2019.
  • Enter in the subject line of your email “refund Germania”.

Receive your discount
You get back 50% of the Eurowings fare. The reimbursement will be made automatically via the payment method you chose when booking on eurowings.com. Intra-German flights are excluded from the refund. This also applies to flights booked on other booking portals or in the travel agency. Please book your replacement flight exclusively on eurowings.com.

Customers who have booked their cancelled Germania flight as part of a package holiday should contact their tour operator. Eurowings cautions that the reimbursement process may take several weeks due to the number of passengers affected.
