Eurowings launches competition to name four aircraft after exceptional people

Share

Eurowings has launched its “Name a Plane” campaign, inviting the public to nominate people whose kindness, support or voluntary work makes a meaningful difference to others.

Nominations can be submitted between 21 September and 11 October 2026 through the airline’s dedicated website. Participants must provide the nominee’s first name and explain their personal contribution to family, friends, clubs, community groups or everyday life.

Eurowings says the campaign will focus on genuine everyday acts rather than public recognition or grand gestures. A jury will review the submissions and select four people whose stories best reflect the initiative’s values.

The winners will be announced in December 2026, when Eurowings will share their stories. Their first names will then be displayed prominently on four Airbus A320 aircraft as a visible tribute to their contribution.
