Following a strong summer, the travel trend to Majorca remains unbroken, even during the current winter period.  Already the months of January to March are drawing many travellers from Germany towards the Balearic Islands in anticipation of spring-like temperatures. Additionally, increasing numbers of Germans own a holiday home on the Spanish island and commute frequently. Eurowings is responding to high demand and short supply with the increased use of wide-body aircraft to Palma de Majorca.

Depending on the booking situation out of North Rhine-Westphalia, Cologne/Bonn and Düsseldorf airports will benefit from the planned special flights. Europe’s fastest growing airline is the market leader at both airports. Eurowings will make a total of 12 special flights, using an Airbus A330-200 (from  Sun Express Germany)  with 310 seats, from and to Cologne/Bonn between 3 and 31 January 2018. The Airbus is otherwise used for intercontinental flights. With the BEST product class, it even has a number of special comfortable seats which will make the trip to Majorca an unforgettable experience. All passengers will also be able to use the Internet and a top-class in-flight entertainment system while on board. The special flight days to Majorca are 3, 4, 10, 17, 24 and 31 January.

Even more flights will be offered to passengers from Düsseldorf. Eurowings will introduce special capacities to the market using a particularly large aircraft for a total of 22 flights between Düsseldorf and Palma. In this case, it will be a Boeing 767-300ER (HB-JJF leased from Privatair) which has space for a total of 277 passengers. There are plans to use the large jet for flights on 8, 15, 22 and 29 January. Eurowings will also use the giant jet to fly to the sunny island on 5, 12, 19 and 26 February. Additionally, in March there are currently plans for the Boeing 767 to make a further four flights on 5, 12, 19 and 26.

The flights can be booked on the Internet at www.eurowings.com or via the Eurowings app.
