Eurowings debuts Germany’s first 2×2 Premium seats on A320neo with sold-out Berlin–Dubai launch

Eurowings has introduced a market first in Germany by unveiling a true 2×2 premium seating configuration on a narrow-body aircraft, marking a significant shift in medium-haul cabin design. The airline’s new Premium BIZ product entered service on 22 November with a fully booked inaugural flight from Berlin to Dubai aboard an Airbus A320neo.

The new mini-cabin features eight exclusive seats arranged in a 2×2 layout, replacing the standard 3–3 configuration and offering travellers more space, privacy and enhanced comfort. Built around the custom-designed “Comoda” seat from Italian manufacturer Geven, the product includes a reclining leg rest, USB charging ports, a pillow and blanket, an amenity kit, a hot towel, expanded storage and an integrated cocktail table.

Service has also been upgraded, beginning with an aperitif and sparkling wine at boarding, followed by a hot meal served on porcelain. Breakfast options are offered on the outbound leg and a choice of vegetarian or non-vegetarian dinner on the return, with the full WINGS Bistro menu available afterwards.

Eurowings CEO Jens Bischof said the new cabin signals “bold innovations within the value segment,” demonstrating that premium comfort can be delivered efficiently on short- and medium-haul aircraft. Berlin Brandenburg Airport CEO Aletta von Massenbach welcomed the product’s debut at BER, calling it a strong endorsement of the airport’s appeal.

Premium BIZ is initially deployed on the Berlin–Dubai route and is available from €399.99 per segment. The launch forms part of a broader product initiative at Eurowings and is expected to inform future cabin concepts across the Lufthansa Group.
