Eurowings continued its strong growth trajectory in 2025, carrying over 18 million passengers on 133,000 flights across more than 36 countries from January to September — an increase of 600,000 passengers year-on-year.
The Lufthansa Group subsidiary achieved a reliability rate above 99%, one of the best in the industry, and a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 42, reflecting high customer satisfaction.
“We can look back on a strong travel season with top performance,” said Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings. “Our teams have achieved excellent results despite the high cost pressure in the German aviation market.”
Responding to strong demand, Eurowings is expanding its medium-haul network for the 2025/26 winter schedule. Highlights include:
To offset high operating costs in Germany, Eurowings is scaling back domestic services, discontinuing routes such as Nuremberg–Hamburg, Hamburg–Cologne/Bonn, and Dortmund–Munich.
The airline’s point-to-point business, including its stake in SunExpress, reported a positive adjusted EBIT of €61 million as of October 30. Eurowings’ workforce grew to nearly 5,500 employees.
Eurowings’ combination of operational reliability, strong passenger growth, and strategic route expansion reinforces its position as Germany’s leading leisure and value airline within the Lufthansa Group.
