Eurowings is expanding its summer 2025 schedule from Cologne/Bonn Airport with four new destinations: Bastia (Corsica), Porto (Portugal), Klagenfurt (Austria), and Erbil (Iraq). The airline also announced it will now operate Funchal (Madeira) flights during both summer and winter, previously only served in the colder months.

The additions bring the number of Eurowings aircraft based at Cologne/Bonn to 17, underscoring the airline’s continued commitment to the airport as a major hub.

“These new routes highlight the strength and growth of our partnership with Eurowings,” said Thilo Schmid, CEO of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. “Travellers now have even more choice for holidays, family visits, or city getaways.”

Route Highlights:

  • Porto: 3x weekly (Mon, Thu, Sat) – famed for its riverside charm and port wine
  • Funchal: 2x weekly (Thu, Sun) – now available year-round
  • Klagenfurt: 2x weekly (Mon, Fri) – gateway to Lake Wörthersee in southern Austria
  • Bastia: 1x weekly (Sat) – ideal for Corsican beaches and mountain hikes
  • Erbil: 1x weekly (Wed) – serves strong demand for travel to northern Iraq

These additions broaden Eurowings’ leisure and diaspora-focused offerings from Cologne, just in time for the peak travel season.
