Discover Airlines has announced the largest investment in its history, unveiling a new long-haul cabin concept called “Ocean Blue” for its entire fleet of 16 Airbus A330-300s. The retrofit programme will begin in spring 2027, with all aircraft upgraded by mid-2028.
The new cabin introduces a comprehensively upgraded product across all classes, including a new Business Class Suite with sliding doors and 32-inch screens, a significantly enhanced Premium Economy positioned as a leading leisure product, and improved Economy Class comfort. All seats will feature 4K touchscreens, Bluetooth connectivity, modern power options, and free high-speed Starlink internet in every class.
Inspired by the airline’s origins and the colours of the ocean, the Ocean Blue design combines bold blue tones, human-centric lighting, and a premium aesthetic aligned with Lufthansa Group standards. CEO Ulrich Lindner said the three-digit million-euro investment underlines Discover Airlines’ long-term commitment to quality, comfort, and a best-in-class leisure travel experience.
