Discover Airlines has inaugurated a new direct service between Frankfurt and Brindisi, marking the airline’s first flights to the southern Italian destination.
The inaugural flight departed Frankfurt on June 5 and arrived in Brindisi with an almost full aircraft. The route will operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays, from June through October, and is currently the only nonstop connection between Frankfurt and Brindisi.
Brindisi becomes Discover Airlines’ second destination in the Italian region of Puglia, alongside Bari. The region, located in the “heel” of Italy, is known for its beaches, historic towns, and Mediterranean climate.
The airline is promoting Brindisi both as a seaside destination and as a gateway to some of Puglia’s most popular attractions, including Lecce, Alberobello, and Ostuni.
The new service further expands Discover Airlines’ leisure-focused network from Frankfurt and strengthens air links between Germany and southern Italy during the summer and early autumn travel season.
