Discover Airlines will add Edmonton and Belize City to its Frankfurt network in 2027 and take over Lufthansa’s Seattle services from both Frankfurt and Munich. The Lufthansa Group leisure carrier will also expand its Munich-based fleet.
Frankfurt–Edmonton flights will launch on 1 June 2027, operating three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Discover says it will be the only airline offering nonstop flights between Germany and Edmonton, which becomes its third Canadian destination alongside Calgary and Halifax.
Belize City will join the network on 16 December 2027, with twice-weekly flights from Frankfurt on Thursdays and Sundays until mid-April 2028. Discover says the seasonal route will make it the first European airline to serve Belize. Tickets are due to go on sale in mid-December 2026.
From late March 2027, Discover will assume operation of Lufthansa’s Frankfurt–Seattle and Munich–Seattle routes, currently served up to daily. Existing bookings will be updated automatically, with no action required from passengers.
The Munich expansion also includes an additional Airbus A330-300 from March 2027 and the previously announced increase in Windhoek services to five weekly flights.
Edmonton and Seattle flights are already available through Discover Airlines, Lufthansa, tour operators and travel agencies.
