Brussels Airlines flight SN3766 from Palma de Mallorca to Brussels scheduled for this Saturday 20 July at 17:20 has been cancelled. The announcement was made after two hours of waiting. A problem had been detected at the wing of the aircraft, an Airbus A320 registered OO-SNI, during its landing on the Spanish runway and could not be repaired immediately.

According to Sudpresse, 180 passengers were then left stranded at the airport; they did not get any drink during their long wait before the announcement of the cancellation of their flight. Then they had to wait one and a half more hours to retrieve their luggage. Brussels Airlines booked them one night at a local hotel, where they were driven by bus at 22:00.

A flight to Belgium was specially chartered this Sunday at 09:00 to bring the vacationers back to Brussels.

The Airbus A320 OO-SNI returned empty to Brussels this Sunday 21 July as SN9902 (dep. 14:43, arr. 16:42).
