Only one week of commercial operations left for OO-SFY, a Brussels Airlines Airbus A330-223 as – next week – the aircraft will be flown to Twente Airport, Netherlands. Dutch aircraft dismantling company AELS purchased the aircraft from a leasing company and will disassemble and dismantle the aircraft.

The 21-year-old bird is currently operating flight SN241 between Brussels Airport, Belgium and Monrovia, Liberia via Freetown, Sierra Leone.

AELS will disassemble and dismantle the aircraft according to the highest industry standards,” the company wrote on its Facebook page, “AELS is looking forward receiving this aircraft at our facility after 21 year of reliable and safe service.

The A330, MSN 229, with registration OO-SFY, has been operated by Brussels Airlines since 2011. The aircraft initially flew for Swiss.

The exact date and time of arrival at Twente Airport, however, will not be communicated.
