Brussels Airlines flight SN3735 from Brussels to Málaga (Airbus A320neo registered OO-SBC) was forced to divert to Toulouse on Saturday after a passenger fell seriously ill mid-flight. Crew members attempted resuscitation, but despite emergency efforts both on board and after landing, the passenger died.
The aircraft, which departed Brussels at 13:08 with a one-hour delay due to a cyber-attack on Brussels Airport, turned back near the Spanish border for the medical diversion. Emergency services met the plane on arrival in Toulouse. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed.
After the incident, the aircraft resumed its journey and departed Toulouse at 16:32, arriving in Málaga at 17:59, with a delay of just over 3 hours.
