From 7 September 2026, a new high-speed train connection operated by Deutsche Bahn will link Cologne directly with Brussels Airport in cooperation with Brussels Airlines.
The ICE trains will also stop in Aachen, Liège, Leuven and Antwerp, with a travel time of around two hours between Cologne and Brussels Airport.
Thanks to the codeshare agreement, passengers can book train and flight in one ticket, receive a Brussels Airlines flight number for the rail segment, benefit from protected connections, and earn Miles & More points.
The initiative strengthens rail-air integration and offers a more sustainable alternative to short-haul flights while improving connectivity between Germany and Belgium.
