Geert Sciot is leaving Brussels Airlines and becomes communication manager at the National Bank of Belgium


From 1 January 2018 Geert Sciot will be the new communication manager and spokesman at the National Bank of Belgium, Geert will create and implement a new communication policy for the Bank.

Since 2003 Geert is VP Media Relations at Brussels Airlines, from 2012 to the end of 2016 he also worked part-time for the Association of European Airlines (AEA) as General Manager Communication Association.

The role of the National Bank of Belgium in society has changed considerably in recent years,” says governor Jan Smets. “That also requires a new, decisive dynamic in the field of communication. I am therefore delighted that we have recruited an experienced expert with Geert Sciot who, together with our employees, will ensure that the National Bank is also an accessible point of contact in the area of ​​external and internal communication and at the same time remains a reliable reference.”
