Brussels Airlines will gradually resume flights between Brussels and Tel Aviv in August, restoring air links that have been suspended for several months due to security concerns in the Middle East.

The Belgian carrier will initially operate one weekly flight every Wednesday between Brussels Airport and Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport.

Flights on the route have been suspended since 28 February following renewed regional tensions and the military escalation involving Israel, Iran and the United States. At the time, the Lufthansa Group, parent company of Brussels Airlines, halted all services to Israel for security reasons.

Air services between Belgium and Israel have faced repeated disruptions since the Hamas attacks in southern Israel on 7 October 2023, with numerous international airlines suspending and subsequently resuming operations in response to the evolving security situation.

Brussels Airlines said it will continue to closely monitor developments in the region and remain in close contact with the relevant authorities to assess the security environment and adapt its operations if necessary.
