A Brussels Airlines Airbus A330 (OO-SFN) took off from Brussels Airport runway 25R for a short hop to Cologne/Bonn.
The aircraft will operate a Eurowings flight from Cologne to Palma de Mallorca.
This Tuesday morning, a huge number of Air Berlin pilots called in sick. Brussels Airlines will help Eurowings to alleviate part of that “strike”.
This is the first case of operational cooperation between the two sister airlines within the Lufthansa Group.
