Brussels Airlines teams up with Belgian company Foodmaker

Share

Starting today, Brussels Airlines offers Foodmaker products on board of its European flights. The Belgian company created a vast array of healthy fresh meals and snacks for the airline.

After collaborating with Belgian star chefs on its long haul flights, Brussels Airlines now also invests further in the on board quality of its European flights, again in cooperation with a Belgian company. Based in Westerlo Antwerp, Foodmaker is a Belgian concept that creates healthy salads and meals with quality ingredients, including biological vegetables from their own fields or locally sourced. Under the motto “We will never ever ever give up to make our food fresher and tastier”, Foodmaker is committed to continuously improve its products.

For Brussels Airlines’ Flex&Fast passengers, Foodmaker created warm meals for flights over 2 hours and salads and cold snacks for shorter flights. For Light&Relax passengers they offer a vast array of healthy snacks and meals in their new buy-on-board menu.

By bringing as much variety as possible to its catering, Brussels Airlines wants to offer more choice to its customers travelling back and forth from their destination on the same day.

“Foodmaker is the ideal partner for us: Belgian, innovative and focused on quality. After having worked closely with Foodmaker, we were able to feel how much they care about their product and the constant search for quality and improvement. Thanks to this collaboration, we can upgrade our guests’ experience on board even more.”

— Grégory Baillet, Head of Inflight Product Brussels Airlines

“With the internationalization of Foodmaker, I spend a lot of time on planes. Therefore I am very proud that we can offer ultra-fresh and qualitative products to Brussels Airlines’ customers. Two Belgian companies making a statement together that even on board a plane, you can offer healthy food.”

— Lieven Vanlommel, CEO Foodmaker

As a flying ambassador for our country, Brussels Airlines uses as much Belgian products as possible and serves, among others chocolates from Neuhaus and Belgian beers.
