Brussels Airlines has confirmed that it will not resume flights between Brussels and Tel Aviv before 31 July 2026, despite plans by other airlines within the Lufthansa Group to gradually restart services to Israel.
According to the airline, the decision is primarily operational rather than security-related. The capacity freed up by the suspension has already been redeployed to additional flights across its European network, making an earlier return to the Israeli market impractical.
A spokeswoman said the situation will be reviewed later, with any gradual restart to be decided at a later stage.
The extension follows renewed tensions in the Middle East and mirrors last year’s situation, when Brussels Airlines suspended flights to Tel Aviv for the entire summer season, only resuming operations in mid-August.
