Brussels Airlines has brought its travelling contemporary African art exhibition, AfriConnections, to Brussels for the final stop of its 2026 tour. Featuring works by 15 artists from across Africa, the exhibition runs at the Gare Maritime at Tour & Taxis from 16 to 30 October, with free admission.
Launched in April, the exhibition previously visited Kinshasa, Abidjan, Yaoundé and Dakar. The works come from the collection of the Ifitry artist residency near Essaouira in Morocco.
Curated by Michèle Desmottes, the initiative aims to strengthen exchanges between African artistic communities and audiences, encouraging works to circulate within the continent before being shown in Europe.
For Brussels Airlines, AfriConnections extends its links between Belgium and Africa into cultural exchange. The airline has also launched an accompanying digital campaign, Art&Design, featuring videos dedicated to African artists.
