Brussels Airlines plans to launch flights between Brussels and Cairo on 29 March 2027, operating up to five times weekly during the summer season. The airline also intends to increase Kilimanjaro frequencies and expand capacity on selected European leisure routes.
Cairo will initially be a seasonal destination, although the carrier aims to develop the connection into a year-round service. The addition will broaden Brussels Airlines’ African network and provide another direct link between Belgium and Egypt.
In Tanzania, Kilimanjaro will receive a third weekly flight from late June 2027. Brussels Airlines launched the destination in June 2026 and said the additional frequency reflects strong demand during its first year of operation.
The European programme will include more flights to Funchal in Madeira, Malaga and Nice, increasing travel options during the peak summer period. The airline has not specified the additional frequencies for these destinations.
Brussels Airlines will also retain its seasonal service to Evenes in northern Norway, offering access to the Arctic region for travellers seeking cooler summer destinations.
