Today, Brussels Airlines revealed its sixth Belgian icon, dedicated to Flemish Masters, and in particular to Pieter Bruegel the Elder during this year celebrating the 450th anniversary of his death.
The ceremony was organised jointly by Brussels Airlines, VisitFlanders and Bozar, the centre for Fine Arts. It started with a Bruegelian breakfast at gate A40 of Brussels Airport, in the presence of many guests from the organising companies and from Brussels Airport. The breakfast was followed by the speeches of Arnaud Feist, CEO of Brussels Airport Company, Ben Weyts, Flemish Minister of Tourism, and Christina Foerster, CEO of Brussels Airlines.
Then, all the guests moved to Hangar 41 for an art exhibition of masterpieces of Bruegel on a circular giant screen surrounding the visitors. And finally, at 11:00, a video launched the revelation of the aircraft before a stunned audience.
