Belgium’s national women’s football team, the Red Flames, departed for Geneva today as they prepare to compete in the European Championship. The team boarded “Trident,” Brussels Airlines’ specially painted Airbus A320, designed in honour of both the Red Flames and their male counterparts, the Red Devils.
Staff from the airline gathered at Brussels Airport to give the team a warm send-off, marking the beginning of what fans hope will be a successful tournament campaign.
Brussels Airlines has been a proud partner of the Red Flames, and in 2022, the airline unveiled the “Trident” aircraft to celebrate its support for Belgian football. The plane’s distinctive livery symbolises national pride and unity across the men’s and women’s teams.
As the Red Flames set their sights on European glory, Brussels Airlines expressed its best wishes—and hopes to welcome the team back home with the championship trophy.
