From 9 to 16 March 2019, Tomorrowland is holding a spin-off event at the Alpe d’Huez resort in France. During this week, the mountains and village of L’Alpe d’Huez are only accessible for the visitors of Tomorrowland Winter, a new surrounding for the festival and its visitors. A total of 30,000 festival-goers from all over the world are expected at and around the ski slopes.
Like every Tomorrowland festival, Brussels Airlines organised party flights to bring festival-goers to Tomorrowland Winter. On Saturday 9 March, Belgian icon and Tomorrowland themed AMARE (an Airbus A320 registered OO-SNF) operated flights between Brussels and Grenoble, the closest airport to Alpe d’Huez. DJ Yves V warmed up the audience with a smashing DJ-set.
The return flight carried people repatriated by Europe Assistance after ski accidents during their holidays.
