Belgium’s national football team, the Red Devils, are set to depart for the United States on Monday afternoon ahead of the FIFA World Cup, travelling aboard a Brussels Airlines Airbus A330-300 on charter flight SN1153. After a day off, the squad is scheduled to reconvene at Brussels Airport, where players and staff are expected to arrive between 12:45 and 13:00 local time. Boarding will begin shortly afterwards, with team captain Youri Tielemans and head coach Rudi Garcia due to address the media one final time before departure.
Following a photo opportunity, the aircraft is scheduled to depart Brussels at approximately 13:40 local time bound for Seattle, Washington, where Belgium will establish its base camp for the tournament.
Flight tracking data from Flightradar24 indicates that the flight will be operated by Airbus A330-300 registration OO-SFH, one of the long-haul aircraft in the Brussels Airlines fleet. The journey to the U.S. West Coast is expected to take just over 10 hours.
The direct flight will allow the players, coaching staff and accompanying delegation to travel comfortably to the United States as preparations enter their final phase ahead of the start of the World Cup.
Seattle will serve as Belgium’s operational base during the tournament, with the team expected to resume training shortly after arriving in the Pacific Northwest.
