Austrian Airlines further increased its passenger volume in the month of July 2017: Austria’s red-white-red carrier transported close to 1.4 million passengers, corresponding to a rise of 14.8 percent compared to July of 2016. The flight offering, measured in available seat kilometres (ASK) was up by 9.8 percent to more than 2.7 billion. Revenue passenger kilometres (RPK) increased by 9.5 percent to more than 2.3 billion. Capacity utilization of the flights (passenger load factor) was at an average of 85.3 percent in July 2017, a slight decrease of 0.2 percentage points from the prior-year month.
