• June 2016: 1.1 percent increase in passenger volume to almost 1,1 million

Austrian Airlines carried almost 5.1 million passengers in the period January to June 2016, comprising a rise of 2.2 percent in a year-on-year comparison. The flight offering measured in available seat kilometres (ASK) was increased by 3.7 percent to more than 11.4 billion, which can be attributed to the expansion of bilateral flight traffic between Austria and Germany. Capacity utilisation (passenger load factor) fell by 1.9 percentage points to 73.2 percent.
