As of today Austrian Airlines features an additional modern Airbus A320 aircraft in its fleet. The medium-haul aircraft has been named “Carnuntum” and offers seating for 168 passengers.

With this new addition, Austrian Airlines has expanded its A320 fleet from 29 to 30 aircraft. A second A320 will be put into service by the end of this year, thus increasing the number of A320 aircraft in the airline’s fleet to 31. They include seven Airbus A319, 18 A320 and six A321 aircraft. Amongst others the two additional A320 will be deployed for the purpose of bilateral flight traffic between Austria and Germany. Both additional Airbus A320 were built in 2012, and are thus the youngest aircraft in the Austrian Airlines fleet.
