LOT Polish Airlines will discontinue its Vilnius–London City Airport service at the end of the 2025–26 winter season, with the final flight scheduled for 27 March 2026, citing declining passenger demand. The route, operated five times weekly, has been served by LOT since May 2019.
At the same time, the airline will strengthen its Vilnius–Warsaw connection, which it considers a key European route. From the start of the 2026 summer schedule, LOT plans to increase frequencies to up to 38 flights per week.
According to Lithuanian Airports, the decision followed a joint review of market demand. While the Vilnius–London City route had previously been supported under a risk-sharing and route-promotion agreement signed in 2023, continued funding under that scheme was no longer possible after the UK’s departure from the European Union, as it fell outside EU state aid exemptions.
The changes reflect LOT’s focus on consolidating capacity on higher-demand routes while adjusting its network to evolving regulatory and market conditions.
