LOT Polish Airlines has inaugurated its first-ever direct service between Warsaw and San Francisco, marking a further step in its North American expansion strategy. Launched on 6 May 2026, the seasonal route will operate up to four times weekly through 22 October 2026.
San Francisco becomes LOT’s sixth U.S. destination, alongside Chicago, New York, Newark, Miami, and Los Angeles. The new connection reinforces the airline’s focus on the U.S. as a key long-haul market and supports its ambition to position Warsaw as a major Central and Eastern European hub.
Flights are operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliners, with a journey time of approximately 11 hours 30 minutes. Departures from Warsaw are scheduled twice weekly in the morning and twice in the afternoon, with same-day return services from San Francisco.
LOT executives described the route as a strategic investment linking Central and Eastern Europe with the U.S. West Coast, aimed at boosting business ties, innovation exchange, and tourism.
