LOT Polish Airlines will launch three new year-round routes from Kraków Airport to Rome, Barcelona and Madrid, starting 30 March 2026, as part of its strategy to strengthen operations at Poland’s regional airports.
The expansion supports LOT’s goal of connecting Polish cities with Europe’s top business and leisure destinations. The carrier will base an additional Boeing 737 MAX 8 in Kraków, adding over 250,000 new seats annually and increasing its network from Kraków to 11 destinations for the 2026 summer season.
LOT CEO Michal Fijol said the move “fully capitalises on the potential of Polish regions,” enhancing connectivity and passenger comfort while boosting local tourism and business links.
Kraków Airport CEO Lukasz Strutynski said the new routes reinforce Kraków’s role as a key transport hub in Central and Eastern Europe, while supporting regional economic ties with Spain and Italy.
