New Warsaw–Porto route launches May 2026, with up to five weekly flights on Boeing 737 MAX 8

LOT Polish Airlines is expanding its Iberian presence with a new direct route from Warsaw to Porto, launching 25 May 2026. The new connection makes Porto LOT’s second regular destination in Portugal, following the introduction of Lisbon flights earlier this year.

During the summer 2026 season, the Warsaw–Porto route will operate five times weekly (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays), before switching to four weekly flights in winter. The service will be operated by Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, with a flight time of just over four hours.

“The launch of our Warsaw–Porto route marks another important step in strengthening LOT’s presence on the Iberian Peninsula,” said Robert Ludera, Director of the Network Department at LOT Polish Airlines. “Following the success of our Lisbon service, we’re delighted to offer passengers access to another remarkable region of Portugal — rich in history, architecture, and cuisine.”

Located at the mouth of the Douro River, Porto is one of Portugal’s oldest and most picturesque cities, famed for its historic Ribeira district, Dom Luís I Bridge, Livraria Lello bookshop, and world-renowned port wine cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. The city also serves as a gateway to the UNESCO-listed Douro Valley and the northern Portuguese coast.

The Porto launch is part of LOT’s broader Iberian expansion strategy. Starting summer 2026, the airline will:

  • Double flights between Warsaw–Madrid and Warsaw–Barcelona to 14 per week each, introducing convenient morning and evening options.
  • Add new Kraków–Madrid and Kraków–Barcelona routes beginning 30 March 2026.

Warsaw–Porto Flight Schedule (from 25 May 2026):

  • Depart Warsaw (WAW): 10:20 ? Arrive Porto (OPO): 13:25
  • Depart Porto (OPO): 14:25 ? Arrive Warsaw (WAW): 19:10

Tickets are now available through lot.com, the LOT Contact Centre, and authorized travel agents.

With the addition of Porto, LOT strengthens its growing European network and reinforces Warsaw’s role as a key hub for Central and Eastern Europe–Iberia connectivity.
