LOT Polish Airlines has inaugurated a new direct connection between Warsaw and Stavanger, strengthening its presence in Northern Europe. The first flight departed on 24 November 2025, marking the start of a year-round schedule linking Poland’s capital with Norway’s oil hub and gateway to the fjords.
The carrier will operate the WAW–SVG route four times a week—on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays—with LO489 departing Warsaw at 08:10 and the return LO490 leaving Stavanger at 11:25. The flight time is approximately two hours.
Stavanger becomes LOT’s latest northern addition, following the launch of flights to Reykjavik in April and ahead of the upcoming seasonal Warsaw–Rovaniemi service, which begins on 27 November.
“Our direct flights to Stavanger will facilitate travel between Poland and Norway, complementing the existing connections to Oslo,” said Robert Ludera, Registered Representative and Director of LOT’s Network Bureau. He noted that an estimated 110,000 Poles live in Norway and highlighted the region’s dual role as both a major European energy centre and a growing tourist magnet.
LOT is promoting Rogaland as a prime destination for hikers, with access to iconic trails such as Preikestolen and Kjerag, as well as lesser-known hill routes, fishing villages, and panoramic coastal viewpoints. Stavanger itself offers a vibrant cultural scene, hosting world-renowned events like the Nuart street art festival, alongside jazz concerts, exhibitions, galleries and harbour cafés.
As with all LOT flights, 8 kg of hand luggage is included in the ticket price. Tickets for the new route are available via lot.com, LOT Contact Centre and LOT Travel agents.
