LOT Polish Airlines has joined TSA PreCheck, allowing eligible passengers departing from participating US airports to use dedicated expedited security screening lanes.
The US Transportation Security Administration’s programme is available at more than 200 airports. Eligible travellers can generally leave laptops and compliant liquids in their hand luggage and keep belts and light jackets on during screening.
To access the service when flying LOT, passengers must add their Known Traveller Number (KTN) to their reservation before departure. LOT says this can be done during check-in through its website, mobile app or at the airport.
The TSA PreCheck indicator must appear on the boarding pass to access the dedicated lane. Enrolment or possession of a KTN does not guarantee expedited screening on every journey.
The addition extends TSA PreCheck access to eligible customers using LOT’s US network, which includes services to Poland from New York JFK, Newark, Chicago O’Hare, Los Angeles, Miami and San Francisco.
