LOT Polish Airlines and Thai Airways have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish codeshare cooperation covering selected destinations in Europe, Asia and Oceania. The partnership is expected to launch at the start of the 2027 summer season, subject to regulatory approval.
The signing coincided with the inauguration of LOT’s Warsaw–Bangkok route. The airlines intend to combine their networks to expand onward travel options through Bangkok and Warsaw, supporting tourism and business travel between Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
The planned codeshare will build on an existing interline agreement, which already allows passengers to combine flights operated by both carriers within a single journey. Selected services would also be marketed under the partner airline’s flight code, making connections easier to find and book.
Both airlines are Star Alliance members, with eligible passengers already benefiting from mileage earning and applicable status privileges. The next steps include signing a definitive codeshare agreement and completing technical and operational preparations.
