Loganair has inaugurated its new direct service (flight LM595) between Jersey and Bordeaux, providing the island with its first-ever non-stop link to the renowned French wine region.
The inaugural flight, operated by ATR72-600 registered G-LMTA, took place on 19 June and marks the fourth new route launched by Loganair from Jersey this summer, following the introduction of services to the East Midlands, Paris and Norwich.
The seasonal Jersey–Bordeaux route will operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays, until 5 October 2026. One-way fares start at £86.
According to Loganair, the new service is intended to improve travel options for island residents while helping to attract additional visitors to Jersey. The route also strengthens the airline’s growing presence on the island and further enhances links between Jersey and France, with Loganair now operating five weekly flights between the two markets.
Ronnie Matheson said the route supports the airline’s commitment to improving connectivity for island communities and opening up new tourism opportunities. Meanwhile, Dale Reeson highlighted the importance of stronger European links for both residents and inbound tourism.
For Bordeaux Airport, the new route also represents the arrival of a new airline and an opportunity to attract more English-speaking visitors to the region.
Passengers travelling with Loganair benefit from a standard 21kg checked baggage allowance and can earn Avios points through the airline’s loyalty programme.
