On 16 February, a Lion Air Boeing 737-800 (PK-LPS) skidded off the runway at Supadio International Airport, the airline confirmed the incident and explained that the aircraft landed during heavy rain. Nobody got injured during the incident.
The brand new Boeing 737-800 was operating flight JT714 between Jakarta and Supadio and carried 182 passengers and 7 crew members. Supadio Airport is an international airport located 17 km from Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia.
