On 26 March, a LATAM Brasil Airbus A320 (PR-MBA) received unknown damage at Belo Horizonte-Confins Airport, Brazil. A luggage loader that was positioned against the aircraft caught fire. Passengers left the aircraft via mobile stairs but no injuries have been reported.
Rescue services rushed to the scene and were able to quickly extinguish the fire, the airline said that the passengers were accommodated on another aircraft. The airline confirmed that the aircraft didn’t receive any damage, but on the pictures you can clearly see that the area close to the cargo door looks scorched.
The belated aircraft is still at Belo Horizonte at moment of writing.
