Kuwait Airways has launched direct flights between Kuwait City and Zurich, further expanding its European network ahead of the peak summer travel season.
The new route began operations on Friday and will be served twice weekly, with flights operating every Friday and Sunday.
According to the airline, Zurich was selected in response to strong seasonal demand for European leisure travel and growing customer interest in direct connections to Switzerland. The route forms part of Kuwait Airways’ broader strategy to expand its international network and diversify its destination portfolio.
Acting Chief Executive Officer Abdulwahab Al-Shatti said the launch reflects the carrier’s commitment to offering passengers more travel options while continuing to improve service quality and the overall customer experience.
The addition of Zurich strengthens Kuwait Airways’ presence in Europe and supports its ongoing expansion programme, which focuses on opening new destinations and enhancing network connectivity for travellers departing from Kuwait.
