Stowaway falls from Kenya Airways Boeing 787-8 minutes before landing at London Heathrow

On 30 June at approximately 15:41 (UTC +1), a body of a yet to be identified male stowaway landed in a garden in the Borough of Lambeth, South London suggesting the stowaway was hidden in the undercarriage of the aircraft, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner (5Y-KZG) operating flight Kenya Airways KQ100. 

London Police investigated the aircraft and discovered a bag containing food and some clothing at the left main landing gear. The Police has contacted Kenya High Commission to help identify and name the person.

The 6,840km flight takes 8hrs 50 mins. It is unfortunate that a person has lost his life by stowing aboard one of our aircraft and we express our condolences. Kenya Airways is working closely with the relevant authorities in Nairobi and London as they fully investigate the case,” the airline wrote in a statement.
