China’s Spring Airlines and Juneyao Airlines have announced plans to significantly expand their fleets with Airbus A320-family aircraft, in deals with a combined list-price value of up to $8.2 billion.
Spring Airlines intends to purchase 30 Airbus A320neo aircraft for a maximum list price of $4.13 billion, with deliveries scheduled between 2028 and 2032. Juneyao Airlines plans to acquire 25 A320-family jets, valued at around $4.1 billion at list prices, over the same delivery period.
Both transactions remain subject to government approval. The announcements come as Airbus continues efforts to secure new large-scale aircraft orders from China, following confirmation earlier this month that deliveries of 120 previously ordered aircraft can proceed, while negotiations for additional new orders remain ongoing.
