JetBlue has launched its first-ever flights to Italy with the start of new daily summer-seasonal service between Boston Logan International Airport and Milan Malpensa Airport.
The new Boston–Milan route marks a major expansion of JetBlue’s transatlantic network and strengthens Boston’s position as one of the airline’s key international hubs. Milan becomes JetBlue’s ninth nonstop European destination from Boston during the summer season.
The airline said the new service builds on its recent European expansion, following the launch of seasonal flights to Barcelona earlier this year. JetBlue already operates transatlantic services from Boston to Amsterdam, London-Heathrow, Paris, Dublin, Edinburgh, London-Gatwick and Madrid.
Marty St. George, President of JetBlue, described the Milan launch as an important milestone in the carrier’s international growth strategy, highlighting the airline’s focus on combining competitive fares with upgraded onboard service across the Atlantic.
To promote the new route, JetBlue introduced limited launch fares starting from $399 or €449 one-way in Core class, $649 or €659 in EvenMore, and from $1,799 or $2,199 in the premium Mint cabin.
Airport operator SEA Milan Airports welcomed the new connection, saying the route strengthens Milan’s intercontinental network and enhances business, tourism and academic links between northern Italy and the United States.
The new service also improves connectivity across JetBlue’s wider North American network through Boston, offering onward connections for passengers travelling between Europe and the U.S. Northeast.
