JetBlue has introduced a new special aircraft design called “Blueprint II,” debuting on its Airbus A220 fleet as a modern reinterpretation of its popular 2017 “see-through” livery.
The original Blueprint design, first launched on an Embraer E190, became widely recognised for its illustrated “cutaway” style featuring playful travel-themed visuals. Retired in 2024 as part of JetBlue’s fleet transition, it has now been revived in an updated form with more detailed artwork and expanded symbolism.
The new design includes visual elements reflecting JetBlue’s identity and network, such as a teddy bear seated as a passenger, a crown representing its first European destination London, a sextant symbolising aviation navigation history, and motifs inspired by beach and resort destinations central to the airline’s route network.
JetBlue said “Blueprint II” is intended to celebrate travel experiences and customer stories while reinforcing the airline’s brand identity. The launch comes after the carrier completed its transition to an all-Airbus fleet, centred on the A220 and A320 aircraft families.
