Around 1,100 Jet Airways pilots, represented by the National Aviator’s Guild (NAG) have decided to stop working from tomorrow (Monday, 15 April). According to the pilots, they have not been paid salaries from the past three months. It’s unsure whether the pilots not in the union will work or not.
“The flights will stop from midnight, the meeting will be held tomorrow,” said Captain Karan Chopra, Head of the National Aviators Guild. The pilots and engineers of the Jet Airways have not been paid for three months and the government should step in now, he said, as reported by NDTV.
The cash-strapped airline already cancelled all international flights until 15 April, raising doubts about its survival over the next few days. In addition, the airline continues to cancel more domestic flights.
