Kuwaiti lowcost carrier Jazeera Airways has taken delivery of its first Airbus A320neo, and is putting the jet into service on the Kuwait-Dubai route.

“This is the first of three A320neo aircrafts scheduled to be delivered to Jazeera Airways by May 2019, supporting our continued network expansion to cover destinations that are around 5 to 6 hours away from Kuwait,” Jazeera Airways CEO Rohit Ramachandran said in a statement.

Its aircraft (9K-CAQ) is powered by CFM International Leap-1A engines.

Irish-based lessor Avolon has confirmed that it is the source of the aircraft, adding that the A320neo is the fourth jet on lease to Jazeera from the company.
