Budapest Airport has welcomed the first-ever direct flight from Kuwait, operated by Jazeera Airways with Airbus A320neo 9K-CBG, marking a new connection between Hungary and the Gulf region. The twice-weekly service will run on Thursdays and Saturdays until mid-September 2025, expanding Budapest’s growing Middle Eastern network.
This launch is Jazeera Airways’ first operation in Hungary, and it strengthens connectivity from Kuwait to destinations in India and the wider Gulf, supporting tourism and business travel. It also boosts Budapest’s strategic role as a regional hub, contributing to the airport’s Summer 25 schedule with nearly 17,000 weekly Middle Eastern seats.
Airport and airline executives praised the new partnership, highlighting its potential to enhance travel options, trade, and international cooperation.
