The Lufthansa Group is deepening its integration with ITA Airways by launching long-haul codeshare flights from July 1, 2025. Customers can now book combined itineraries with Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, and Brussels Airlines alongside ITA Airways long-haul routes—all in a single booking.
Examples include Lufthansa flights from Frankfurt or Munich via Rome to Bangkok, Jeddah, and Riyadh; Brussels Airlines to Cairo; and Austrian Airlines via Rome to Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo. More routes to Africa and Asia will follow.
This expansion builds on earlier codeshare agreements covering over 100 short-haul routes across Europe and Italy. Passengers benefit from seamless baggage handling, unified check-in, and the ability to earn and redeem miles through both Miles & More and Volare loyalty programs. Once fully implemented, ITA customers will gain access to over 250 Lufthansa Group codeshare destinations.
