Stylish new space opens May 15, celebrating Italian design and Lufthansa Group membership

ITA Airways has announced the reopening of its newly renovated Runway Lounge at Milan Linate Airport, set to welcome passengers starting 15 May. The 482-square-metre lounge features 125 seats and three distinct zones—food, relaxation, and business—offering a premium experience that blends Italian culture, design, and comfort.

Named to reflect both airport runways and Milan’s fashion scene, the Runway Lounge was designed in collaboration with Robilant Associati and select Italian excellence partners, including Campari Group, illycaffè, iGuzzini, and Poltrona Frau. Key features include:

  • Campari Wall and signature cocktail “Runway Shakerato”
  • illycaffè espresso bar with iconic silver jar display
  • Custom lighting from iGuzzini with sapphire-themed fixtures
  • Poltrona Frau furnishings, including Jay Lounge chaises in a “Silent Room”

“The reopening of this Lounge confirms Milan Linate’s strategic value in our growth plans,” said Joerg Eberhart, CEO of ITA Airways. “It’s a gateway for business and leisure travellers, connecting to 27 destinations and our global network.”

The Runway Lounge, the first to display ITA’s “Member of Lufthansa Group” endorsement, is located between gates A17 and A21, and is open daily from 6:00 to 22:00. Complimentary access is offered to:

  • ITA Airways Business Class and Lufthansa Group premium passengers
  • Volare Executive/Premium, HON Circle, Senator, and Star Alliance Gold members
  • ITA American Express Gold/Platinum cardholders and eligible Frequent Flyer Partners
