ITA Airways will launch a direct service between Rome Fiumicino and Caracas on 30 March 2027, operating three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays with an Airbus A330-900.
The announcement follows cooperation with the relevant authorities and diplomatic representatives, including Venezuela’s embassy in Italy. ITA chief executive Joerg Eberhart and Venezuelan ambassador María Elena Uzzo Giannattasio signed a Memorandum of Understanding supporting the new connection.
The airline says the route will strengthen tourism, trade and business links while serving Venezuela’s large Italian and Italian-descendant community. Passengers will also be able to connect through Rome Fiumicino to destinations across ITA Airways’ domestic and international network.
